It's Christmas Time at the Snowden's!

Yes I know, a little early this year...but we Snowden's LOVE CHRISTMAS!!! And the whole season, and what it's all about. So last weekend we got the trees up!

Now usually we wait until American Thanksgiving weekend to do the tree. Mainly because Sam's birthday is on the 21st, and we don't want to have a Christmas tree up during his birthday party. BUT, this year the party is at the park...SO up went the tree! :)

Here are some pics of the tree trimming!

This year it was Sam's turn to put on the star!

And the biggies posing in front of their masterpiece! Well done kids! (little do they know that later I went and evened out the ornaments..haha)

And so starts the most wonderful time of the year. And the opportunity to teach the kids that Christmas is not about getting a bunch of new toys, but it's about celebrating Jesus and being a blessing to others. This year we are adopting a family with our small group, and I can't wait to get the kids involved with giving a needy family a Christmas blessing.

But I think more importantly we need to carry the Christmas blessings into the new year and always be on the look out for opportunities to be a blessing to others. Something that I have really embraced the last few months, and something I hope the kids are embracing too!
